Typography rule of web design that every designer should know.

Typography is all about making text beautiful and easy to read. To make your website visually easy to understandable follow some beginners guidelines provided here:

  1. we need to talk about typefaces- Serif and Sans-Serif. Serif typefaces are traditional typefaces while on the other hand, sans-serif are simple and classic. There are tool-boxes available for free to play with font faces like Google-Font.

  2. Font-Size: We use different font-size for different parts of web pages. for normal text, you should use 16px to 32px. But for the big headline, you can go big with your font sizes, like even more than 50px.

  3. Try to use less than 75 characters per line, which makes the text easy to read. However, if you break this rule you might end up creating something really hard to read for your eyes and find it a bit difficult to follow such a long line.

  4. Try to use a line height between 1.5 and 2. Now if the text is really big you can go below 1.5 and actually, you can go really low. So a good rule of thumb that you keep in mind is that the smaller or longer the text is the larger the line height needs to be.

  5. Decrease the letter spacing in the heading if it looks unnatural. Experiment with all caps for short titles.

  6. Usually don't justify text on your webpage, this makes it harder to jump from one line to the next.

Okay, So that's it about guidelines and rules on typography.
